End User License Agreement (EULA) for ListenBook

The ListenBook application (“ListenBook Audiobooks”), developed by OWN PLACE LLC, is licensed to you under Apple’s standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement (Apple Standard EULA):

No custom EULA applies. Additional terms specific to the App — including the license scope, purchases and the 14-day free evaluation period, user content and anti-piracy rules, the copyright-complaints procedure, warranty disclaimers, and limitations of liability — are set out in our Terms of Use, which you accept by using the App.

Under the Apple Standard EULA, this license is granted by OWN PLACE LLC, not Apple; Apple is not responsible for the App or its content, has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for it, and Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries with the right to enforce the license against you.

Open-Source Components

ListenBook uses libraries from the FFmpeg project (libavformat, libavcodec, libavutil, libswresample), licensed under the GNU Lesser General Public License v2.1 or later (LGPLv2.1+). These libraries are dynamically linked; OWN PLACE LLC claims no ownership of FFmpeg. The complete license text is available inside the App (Settings → Third-party licenses) and the corresponding source code, build scripts and configuration can be downloaded from the FFmpeg corresponding-source page. Nothing in this EULA or the Apple Standard EULA restricts the rights granted to you by the LGPL with respect to those libraries; per the Apple Standard EULA, reverse-engineering restrictions do not apply to the extent permitted by the licensing terms of included open-source components. FFmpeg is a trademark of Fabrice Bellard, originator of the FFmpeg project.
